I love wine made from the Bacchus grape and Chapel Down is much favoured. This particular one has wheelbarrows of elderflower nose, buckets of tongue-curling acidity and none too high in alcohol. Ideal for sipping in the garden on a sunny afternoon or sheltering indoors on a blustery winter day. In fact any time is a good excuse. If you can, visit the vineyard and you will smell and taste what the French call 'terrior' as you experience the vineyard's soil and environment. It's also currently (June 21) at a lower price than most other outlets. Hic hic horray!
